Hits 1 Weekend Countdown, Week of September 21, 2019 Taylor Swift (1)

Hey guys and welcome back to another countdown! This is the Morning-Mash Up trio hosted it. A lot happened this week compared to last week which is nice, but boy, do we got a god-awful #1 on our hands. Yes, I know Easier is old by this point and has no pop radio but it's better than a crappy Taylor Swift song known as You Need To Calm Down, though it was bound to happen. Biggest Jump- Sam Smith- How Do You Sleep? (+15)
Biggest DROP- Khalid/Disclosure- Talk (-21)

#1 Song This Week One Year Ago- Panic! At The Disco- High Hopes (3rd/8 weeks)

New Entrants
~First up is Mother. This song is very nice and a huge step-up from I Warned Myself which was dog crap. I like the beat it's very, quirky I guess, I don't really know how to explain it. The voice is nice and the flow with the production is great. I hope it does something here because it's good.

~Next up is Graveyard. This song was a curveball especially coming off of Nightmare and Without Me. It's a slow song which doesn't work for me and it's just boring and has no personality to it. It's really bland from the production to the voice, it's just boring.

Blurbyard
~Well let's see our Top 10-, you got to be kidding me. Why the hell is You Need To Calm Down at #1?! Sure it was bound to happen, but you didn't see ME! hit #1 because Jonas Brothers.

~If We Have Each Other takes a random jump back into the Top 10 while Call You Mine finally enters it. The latter won't last that long because it's already losing on pop and it doesn't look like Who Do You Love is losing anywhere.

~How Do You Sleep? takes a huge jump into the Top 20 and Talk takes a surprising drop out of it to which I'm surprised to both.

~Further down the chart, Old Town Road, Never Really Over, and With You look like it's the end of the road for them, Bad Liar, Here With Me, and Let Me Down Slowly are all chilling down there. Shameless makes a bad jump towards Top 25 and yeah.

~As far as exits go, This Feeling and Without Me were both overdue and got extremely annoying each week so it's good that they're gone since they're past due.

~First up is Stack It Up. It's kinda good, I like it. Nice production though it's literally Same Old Love and voice.

~Next up is Memories a great song if you like taking 3-4 minute power naps. I'm sorry the song is just boring overall.

#1 Song This Week One Year Ago- 5 Seconds Of Summer- Youngblood (2nd/5 weeks)

New Entrants~First up is Shameless. This song is quite disappointing from Camila. The song is a huge snoozefest and there's nothing good. I mean I've listened to it a few times but nothing has changed for me.

~Next up is The Hype. Again, this song is better than Shameless, but that isn't saying much. The vocals are good, but everything else is lacking. I feel like if TØP made that beat a bit more energetic than all would be good with me. Sure, it's better than the previous ones, Chlorine and My Blood, but that also isn't saying much.

~Finally at #31, we have Liar. Surprisingly, both Camila landed this week and that's good and bad. This song I really like. I love the vocals, the production is great and has a nice vibe. And when you compare the lyrical content, this has way more flow and effort than Shameless. Therefore, this song trumps Shameless by a longshot and I hope it does well because it's good.

Blurbless
~Let's start off with our new #1, Easier. Honestly, I'm quite surprised it made it there especially up 8 spots. In all reality, it already peaked on radio a long time ago and same goes for #2, You Need To Calm Down which I genuinely don't want to go to #1, but it's probably bound to happen.

~If I Can't Have You falls hard to #6 especially off #1, but I think it'll rebound.

~Senorita jumps to #3 which is nice because it's good and is on top of pop radio.

~Goodbyes finally makes it into the Top 10 and it should keep going, it's amazing.

~Never Really Over drops hard to #32. To be honest, this was a huge flop so I'm not surprised.

~Besides that, Let Me Down Slowly enters the Bottom 5 and This Feeling should be gone next week.

~As far as exits go, One Thought Away and 100 Bad Days were chart fillers and to be honest they were growing a bit on me. Then there is Speechless which had an impressive run on the chart, peaked at #9. So yeah all these were meh and growing to good.

~First up is Dear Future Self. I like the production and the voices of Fall Out Boy. Wyclef brings down the song a bit but it's still good.

~Graveyard is an uncalled shift of mood for Halsey compared to her others one. This one is okay but this is off of first listen.

~Mother is by far better than I Warned Myself. The production is way better and vocals are a bit better too, but again this is off first listen.

My Top 40, Week of September 7, 2019 Post Malone, Ozzy Osbourne, Travis Scott (1)

Hey and welcome back to another Top 40.  This week there a bit of shuffling up on the charts. Take
What You Want debuts at #1 which was initially going to go for next week, but it was too good to let it slip by. Play, All You Need To Know, and Right Back all slip 1 but still proving that they’re tough competition. Better When You’re Gone re-enters the Top 10 for like the ten-thousandth time. And down the chart, Harder and Ride It surge big time into the Top 15.

#1 Song This Week One Year Ago- 5 Seconds Of Summer- Youngblood (1st/5 weeks)

New Entrants
~First up is 3 Nights. Keep in mind I'll keep these short-ish so we don't take up too much time. Now I remember this song came out a while ago and I picked up on it. It's pretty good. I like the production though it kinda feels simple and empty. His voice is really good and reminded me of a guy from Pitch Perfect don't know who though. The lyrics actually mean something which is nice. I think Dominic has talent but I haven't heard his other songs though but this will do.

~Next is Harder. I don't know if Jax Jones has appeared here but here he is now. This song is really groovy and I think Bebe's voice is really nice. I feel like Jax Jones could do more and make more hits but some of his other songs can just be bland. However, I do enjoy this song and I hope it does well.

~One spot above Harder is Dream Boy by a random band by the name of Waterparks. I don't know who they are or what music they have produced but I quite like this. The nice energetic start is a nice kickstart and the fact that they keep this kind of energy throughout the song is what I like. The vocals are nice but something doesn't click with me fully. I feel like the fact that this can be annoying at sometimes can be why, but otherwise good song, I'll take it.

~At #33 it is How Do You Sleep? by Sam Smith. I feel either he's been under the radar or Sam Smith took a break...wait Dancing With A Stranger exists, oops. Anyways, I like this song. Sure the production is weird, but I do like his voice and his last chorus is just outstanding. I know some people aren't a fan of this but I am.

~Next up is Hate Me. Now, this has been on my personal chart for some time if y'all have been paying any attention to it. I really do like this. I really like the chorus and production. However, what surprises the most is Juice Wrld. He does very well and has a  nice flow with the production. The only downfall here is the verses. They seem really weak and that they could've had more effort but into them. Besides that, this song is nice I enjoy it.

~At #25 we have boyfriend. Now a lot of people on the discord server tend to be mixed overall. Personally, I like it a lot. The start from Ariana and this distorted production seems normal to me. Her verse is good, but that pre-chorus is amazing. It has a lot of flow and sounds satisfying if you think about it. The only weak song is when Mikey from Social House comes with an ok "Stressed out..." thing it just ruins the song a bit, but then that it's great.

~Finally up at 22 we have Beautiful People. This song, in my opinion, is the weakest out of these 7 despite all being good to amazing. Ed and Khalid do nice with their voices but the song overall is weak and the production is just...I don't know actually...let's just say it isn't my cup of tea. Overall, the voices are great and the production is decent so it's good for the most part.

How Do You Blurb?
~It's good to see older songs being pushed out again. Here With Me drops to #41 and Speechless down to #42. This Feeling furthers throughout the Bottom 5 which is good and Without Me gets #45, finally.

~It looks like the end for One Thought Away and Trampoline as they take decent drops to the Bottom 10 and that sucks because I like them both especially the former.

~bad guy takes a big drop out of the Top 20 which is cool since it's off the poll.

~Rescue Me, Look What God Gave Her, and Truth Hurts take big jumps. Now to first and third I'm cool with but the second one is quite random.

~As far as exits go, Find U Again and The Git Up were both great but short-lived, High Hopes, Happier, and Sweet But Psycho overstayed and So Am I  was just random but did good. Oh yeah, Mother's Daughter was bad so I guess it's good that it's gone.

New Trainees
~First is What Am I. Everything is okay here, I think Why Don't We can do way better.

~Next is Liar. I really like her voice and the Latin vibe to it but everything else can be boring.

~Time is just bad I don't like his voice, the drop hurts my ears and yeah.

~Kill My Mind is ok, I do like the voice but the production doesn't work for me.

~Shameless.....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

~CIRCLES is quite nice but it's boring at some points.

~i'm lonely is good. I like the voices from both and the instrumentation is good.
