As you know I have a rankdown open to anybody ranking the first 50 #1s (which not too many have submitted -_-), but besides that, I thought I put another post out having these ranked statistically. Also, there won't be 50 #1's in this as a few more songs have hit #1 since (

By far the most regretful song I've had at #1. I have no clue what I was thinking having it at #1, but if I were to rank these personally this is easily gonna be the worst one. To fall out of the Top 10 in 3 weeks looks horrible, and to fall 19 spots in 2 weeks is not a good look for any song, to be honest.

However, I will grant it the fact that July & August have been the most cramped months with about 20 songs debuting over this span and even more will likely come.

Welp this song was a real fluke at #1, considering how it jumped 16 spots to #1 is already crazy enough because, to be honest, #1 songs tend to either debut or be in the Top 10 the week prior. I mean, its run past it shows. I get that the Avicii onslaught in 2019 really took a toll on this song and it never recovered, but to fall 14 spots prior wasn't a good look, to begin with.

Being this song is one of the original songs when this chart began, I didn't expect it to do too much considering how it was already almost 2 years old at that time. Nevertheless, the same vacation that helped the other Niall song you just heard about was the sole reason why this hit #1. I didn't have the access to Spotify as much as I do and that radio station played this song constantly. I'm not complaining, but just a fun fact at the end of the day.

This song had so much potential way past its #1 run, as the way up was almost a natural growth. However, like Mahone earlier, this song just didn't have the lasting power to stay on for that long. Despite surviving the Avicii onslaught, its position the following week showed a means to an end with that song. In a week of 12 dropouts, this song and one other were the only 2 in the bottom 10 during the Avicii raid to survive the rest of the week's chaos. You would think this is good, but to drop 5 spots on a week where technically you were supposed to have at least an 8 spot jump, wasn't good. A commonality between 2019 #1 hits is that majority of them lacked longevity and was essentially the downfall of them all.

Similar to I've Been Waiting, this song showed immense promise and had a good track record for the past couple of weeks. One difference was that this got more annoying rather than boring unlike #48. Come to think of it, this would be in my Top 5 of most regretful songs at #1. Everything seems so simple and the piano is something I can't stand as much as I did then. I will credit where credit is due in saying that it was a #1 debut in a week where the whole Top 5 was difficult to rank.

This song I only remembered about in a dream out of all things. I should've picked up on this sooner, because if that was the case this song definitely had aspirations for Top 5 this year, and in a way it still does. The track for this song is good so far, 8 straight weeks in the Top 10 and it will likely hold on for more, shows great promise from debatably one of the best techno hits of 2021.

You know, it's really good that a TikTok managed to perform pretty decently on my chart. Besides, Joy (which we'll get to later), BASTILLE has had little to no presence on the chart. Grip and Another Place seem to be the other notable two, however, one lasted a single week and the other flopped in 8 weeks though debuting in the Top 10. Also if you wonder why I really haven't gone over the quality of these songs, it's simply because this is more objective than subjective using simple statistics.

I know I always call this song a flop, and I will stand by it, but I'm genuinely surprised that this song beat some other 2019 #1s. I guess it makes sense since #1s came and went big-time in 2019. I really only call this a flop because it had so much potential to go for a 20+ week run, but time and time again it underwhelmed. Despite that, spending a spot at each position at the Top 5 will do you enough to get above any other 2019 #1s.

Another TikTok fueled song doing pretty well on this chart. Quick backstory, The Living Tombstone makes some of the best music out there, especially when Five Nights At Freddy's was big, yes I was a big fan of that game and especially the music around it. Of course, many of their songs have resurged due to TikTok, and I'm not complaining at all. In addition, this song spent 8 weeks straight in the Top 10 and is only looking very shaky currently due to the huge number of debuts coming in week after week. If it can survive this barrage, this song can run for a while.

I would say that I'm surprised that this is low but considering how 60% of the Top 70 songs of alltime since 2018 are #1s, I'll take that back. This song I remember always being good, but I didn't have a chart back in 2017 so yeah. This song didn't have the best Top 10 run, but it did hang around #10 - 30 for around 2 months before falling off after just 4 weeks in the Bottom 10.

Like some big mainstream artists, Khalid really hasn't had too much presence on this chart at all. The majority of his songs that did debut found little to no success since Love Lies. Right Back, is likely my favorite to date, and although it did spend 8 straight weeks in the Top 10, it fell off pretty quickly after that. To go from the Top 10 to the Bottom 10 in just 3 weeks isn't a good look, but given what it had, this still had a pretty solid run for a 2019 #1 song.

The first of many Alan Walker songs to be on this list. Honestly, and you'll see the trend, this is the last good Alan Walker I've heard, and it didn't perform to level as other songs like The Spectre, All Falls Down, or Alone. Listening to this song at first, I didn't expect to crack Top 5, let alone #1. Soon enough, the idea I had in my mind came to fruition down the road. To go from #19 to not being on the chart in 3 weeks was concerning, and even disappointing for a #1 song given no big 15-song raid weeks.

A very interesting selection for a #1 song looking back on it. Honestly, it had a very modest run overall and grew pretty naturally, and fell off in a similar manner. Being the first song this year to not be one of the 3 "superpowers" (we'll get to those later) or a song by Dua Lipa, you would expect to fall off pretty fast. However, 10 weeks in the Top 15 wouldn't be considered falling off fast, and to be real honest, even after its big drop to #22 it took an additional 2 months to fall, and very naturally if I must say.

Ah yes, the top song to hit #1 with the most questionable cover to date. Dove Cameron being on Disney for the longest time, this seemed to be "out of character", but the majority of her music has been pretty good. This song is obviously her best, and the reflection shows. This song pretty much was the gateway for other songs to hit #1 besides Dua Lipa (for a bit of time) and the superpowers. Being that it's currently in the Bottom 5, all it can hope for is to reach to escape this, which #1s are highly capable of doing for a while.

This definitely has to be the most interesting #1 considering its run as pretty hectic. It took a two-year break on this chart to re-enter at #1, the second to ever do so, (the first one will be pretty soon). Its 2018 and 2019 run was pretty respectable but its run in 2021 has been the most successful. It has spent all of its 7 weeks since re-entering in the Top 10. If it can stick around the chart longer and not fall 15 spots like it did last time, it can be a good representative for songs that can chart over 3 different years.

Looking back, this song is very questionable as to why I had this at #1. Put this against the majority of these songs, this would be towards the bottom in terms of quality. Statistically, though, I picked up the song at a great time, being the start of the chart. The song could handle the volatility of 20 songs on the chart, that's why it had such a stellar 2018 run. However, throw in double that number, it just couldn't hang as shown by the re-entering of it on the chart's extension but only being able to reach #24.

And here is the first half of two songs to re-enter at #1. Honestly, this is probably the greatest comeback story for a song ever. In 2020, this song debuted simply by luck, and its short-lived run showed. 5 simple weeks, all were spent in the Bottom 5, And about 10 months later, this song re-enters at #1. Other than that little story, this song has made its case already for one of my biggest songs of 2021, and if the run holds, which I don't see why it wouldn't, then this could go for a while and crack alltime lists overall, which another Dua Lipa has, but we'll get to that in a while.

This probably has to be the most natural movement to #1 ever. It took about 8 weeks to finally hit #1, and it debuted at #24 as well. I mean, it didn't expect too well, just like Heading Home, which had a debatable "miraculous" run to #1. Just like Heading Home, Ritual didn't have the best run after its nice 8-week stretch in the Top 10. After dropping from #8, it had little recovery in September of 2019 but lived out the rest of its run in the Bottom 10 before exiting in November of 2019.

In all honestly, this song is a big demonstration of how longevity and consistency can lead to great things. This song debuting during quarantine likely called for volatility since I was able to listen to music 24 hours a day if I wished. However, 18 weeks straight in the Top 20 is very impressive for any given song to do, especially then. After a big slip in October 2020, it still managed for a bit, bouncing around in the Bottom 10 until mid-November, where it exited.

It's amazing how both of these songs managed to be in similar spots for the same reason, but to different extents. Unlike, Round & Round, Joy only spent half the weeks it did in the Top 20. However, its big and final push came when it was in the Bottom 10, where it spent 11 weeks in, more than its Top 20 run. Honestly, I find it impressive it performed well in a time where songs like Joy flopped or barely held on to my chart.

This song had a very two-sided run on my chart. Its first 10 weeks on the chart all spent in the Top 10, and being that 2019 as very volatile with songs jumping 20 into the Top 5 and dropping 27 into the Bottom 10 the following, #1s alike, this song managed to clinch the Top 10 each and every week. It even survived the Avicii raid, but the recovery had mixed results. Essentially Who Do You Love spent its final 21 weeks at #20 or below, but then again, this shows that longevity can help a song succeed statistically.

You would think that a song with stats like these would be a lot higher on this list, and for 2 reasons it isn't. One would be that 2018 was not a very effective year being that, only 4 months of that year were recorded. The second was that this song was a causality of the Avicii raid, not being able to re-enter, despite dropping out from #29 that week. Despite that, 17 total weeks in the top half on the chart, and the additional survival of the chart extension really helped its cause.

This song probably had the most ideal #1 run out of any of these songs. 10 weeks spent in the Top 10, being able to nab #1 just 2 weeks in. When out the Top 10, it floated around the Top 20 for an additional 6 weeks. Further than that, 6 more weeks in the Top 30, and lastly 4 weeks in the Bottom 10 all consecutively, for the most part, shows how natural and system-like this run was.

Many of you may not remember this at #1, mainly due to the fact that this song was able to sneak in a week at #1 during Forever Yours's 8-week run after Take What You Want finally decided to stop hanging out at #1 after it did all fall 2019. 12 weeks in the Top 10, 4 additional in the Top 20 will always look good for any song, especially a #1 song. Spending 12 weeks in the bottom half during the summer of 2020 isn't shocking, considering how maybe once a month a bomb of new songs would appear. Nevertheless, the song still had the quality to last, so that helps.

Honestly, when I used my point system, this song was a beast, being that it was Top 5 in 2019. Looking at this with a more reliable and likely accurate point system, this doesn't look so well in performance. 6 weeks in the Top 10 won't do it for a #1, but you know what will? 17 additional weeks in the Top 20. Furthermore, it survived both the chart extension, falling 1, and then 11 during the Avicii raid. However, June 8, 2019, was the week that got it, having it drop. This week was notorious for big drops being that 7 songs debuted this week and only 3 songs had positive movements. So for how it ran, it was a pretty modest run overall.

This song had a big rollercoaster ride on this chart. Lasting only 5 weeks in the Top 5 at one point to then reaching it again 3 months later. However, during that time it spent 6 straight weeks under the Top 20. Despite recovering from the Avicii raid better than expected, June 2019 came and went and both June 8 and June 22, the latter having 8 debuts, pretty much set the song of cruise control. Past that 11 weeks with going 25 or under gave any extra points and push it needed for the leaderboard.

Being that 25/30 Alltime songs up to this point are all #1s, the other 5 are significant #2s: I Don't Wanna Go (2018/2019), Nice to meet ya (2019/2020), Innocence (2020/2021), The Spectre (2018/2019), and All You Need To Know (2019/2020). Shifting the focus back to Goodbyes, this song had a pretty good run being a #1 song in 2019, it being 9th among the 21 songs that hit #1 strictly in 2019. 12 weeks straight in the Top 10 followed up by another 11 straight in the Top 20, enough to push it into 2020. By the rate, the song had pretty much aged out, going 25+ weeks, so a final 5 weeks below 25 was a decent way of sending it out.

The fact that a song that came out in 2013 is the 28th alltime since Fall 2018 is crazy. Its run is even crazier: 11 weeks in the Top 10 spanning over 5 months, along with that comes an additional 14 weeks in the Top 20. Therefore, it only spent 6 weeks in the Bottom 20, 2 times, each being 3 months apart. To have a run like this and be a song from now 8 years ago is insane and statistically and personally, this is my alltime song, as of now.

In hindsight, I don't have shame in saying this, but this song genuinely had 1 #1 quality week. It just so happened that at the end of 2020, there was no true #1 and so competition and placement weren't hard. Nevertheless, Gryffin finally notched his first #1 after 2 #2 peaking songs, Body Back & All You Need To Know, both being blocked by the song with the most weeks in its respective year ironically. Anyways, 9 weeks in the Top 10 isn't too bad, and an additional 6 weeks in the Top 20 gave it 15 total. Past that, it slowed crumbled taking 11 weeks, which is really good, to be honest.
21. Jonas Brothers - Sucker (2019)

It's crazy that this song manages to be statistically worse than Only Human, though quality wise I would take this slightly over that. 13 weeks in the Top 10 was its real highlight because, at that point, the song wouldn't recover from the notorious month of June 2019 spending 4/5 weeks in just the Top 20. In the last week of June, it slipped big to #27 and that's as high as it got until its final week in October 2019.

One of the more successful early #1s on this list, hitting at just a good time too. Granted, I was almost a whole year late when it came to picking up on this one, but I wasn't that invested in music as much as I was then. 13 straight weeks in the Top 10 in 2018, early 2019 did it well and beyond that, it still managed 11 weeks within the Top 20, throughout March. But as 2019 continued and surges of entrants broke through, it really couldn't hang. It actually managed to drop out during the Avicii raid and once June 2019 rolled around, it managed to pass the 8th and 22nd but fell short of making it out of June's final week after 38 strong weeks.
19. Dua Lipa - We're Good (2021) *

This was a great single of the deluxe album. Honestly, if she released the regular version of the album, this definitely would've been the frontrunner right off the bat. Besides my thoughts, this song has had and is still having an amazing run on this chart. 14 weeks straight in the Top 10 to start off its run but it is in a good position. Beyond that, the week of this version, is actually its first week out of the Top 20, meaning it has been on the upper half of this chart for 23 weeks. This song was a lot of potential to cruise control until 2022, and even might be able to snag getting a year on this chart, no promises though.

This just shows that longevity can win sometimes, being that this song has an extra 14 weeks then its ancestor, Sucker. Though it might have had less of an exposed run, like the little 9 weeks in the Top 10, this song was a pro at managed to barely move week to week. It held on to #18 for 5/6 weeks straight and #19 for a whole month in late 2019. Once 2020 hit, it was fizzling out, only peaking at #29 during its 2nd-year run, of 13 weeks, which all-in-all is impressive.
17. Alan Walker/Sabrina Carpenter/Farruko - On My Way (2019)

If you were to look at how this was running at the beginning, it seemed to be performing very well, serving up 12 straight weeks in the Top 10, both during the Avicii raid and part of June 2019. 8 more weeks in the Top 20 gave it 20 total weeks in the Top 20, which may seem underwhelming for a song to have such a good first 3 months really. Honestly, its last couple of weeks weren't too bad, as the number of entries and dropouts calmed down, but evidently, it finally withered out right before November 2019.
16. Alan Walker - Alone (2018/2019)

Being the inaugural #1 on my chart, it was either going to perform amazing or terrible and as the Top 20 progressed throughout 2018, it seemed the latter, only spending 3 weeks in the Top 5 (the only weeks it would have there ever), and 4 additional in the Top 10. To be real honest with you, the extension saved this song big time and gave it the longevity it needed. Along with that, Top 20 dominance was this song's niche, spending the first 26/27 weeks in the Top 20. Soon enough, raids and the test of time got to it, finally coming to a close in June 2019, being the longest charting song at that point.
15. Brooks/Julian Jordan - Without You (2020)

It seems like this song, seems to be the most out-of-pocket #1 I've ever had, being that it's just instrumental and obnoxiously loud. Despite that, it fit the quota to the point where more than its run was spent in the Top 10. If this song never really stuck with me like it did, this likely would've been a flop of a song, but even to this day, I still enjoy the obnoxiousness of this song. Side note though, I'm surprised this only had a run within one year, but once I checked I realized its last week on the chart was the last week of 2020, kinda sad it didn't make it out.

This song was a really random choice at the time since the #1s from that point were all EDM and/or Alan Walker. Despite that mantra, this song performed tremendously well, the first song to hit 5 weeks at #1 on my chart, and 13 additional weeks in the Top 10 to complement it will do something. In fact, it was the song to beat in 2019 for about 5 months until I Don't Wanna Go, ironically by Alan Walker stole, but that was until David Guetta had the last laugh in the final two months of 2019. All that aside it was doing fairly well, but June 2019 was its first real crack, and though being able to survive it technically by re-entering in July, it just couldn't find footing again.

The song that holds the biggest jump of alltime, and it wasn't even to #1. 13 weeks in the Top 10 is great, but only 5 additional weeks in the Top 20 isn't the best look. However, longevity was on its side big time, because to spend 24 weeks 30 or below, is mind-blogging to witness for any song at all. The good part about that is that it was its last 6 months but even then is crazy. This song is THE example of longevity gets you success because if it wasn't for hanging on for so long, it wouldn't be Top 20 guaranteed.

This song for its worth was for everywhere but the United States, stuck with me as well. This song is what Joel Corry is essentially a staple on my charts, being that Lonely hit earlier that year and underwhelmed, as well as the remix of Rover. That aside, it spent all but 2 weeks in 2020 in the Top 10, 22 weeks to exact, which is basically half its run. Even in 2021, it ran strong being above, but once falling in late-March that year, it never really recovered, spending its last 10 weeks in the Bottom 10.

It's honestly very nice that my top 11 alltime are all #1 songs, which shows how much #1 can do for you. All that aside, this song was definitely the trailblazer out of all of the 2018 songs, being in the Top 5 for the whole year. Even in 2019, it took an additional 7 weeks chillin' out in the Top 10. All was going good until the Avicii raid where it actually was a causality that week. Past that, the song would re-enter but wouldn't hit above 33 for the final bow of its run.

Being the tribute song we needed, I expected this to do very well on this chart, which the 8 weeks at #1 shows. Past that, and even during that #1 run, it added an additional 11 weeks in the Top 10, which on initial look, that's disappointing, but the weeks at #1 bump it up to 19 total weeks. 8 weeks in the Top 20 is a respectable time spent, but like I said, you would expect more. What's even worse is that it only took 4 weeks from 20 to 32, which for a #1 song, is a bit confusing. Once at 32, it would fall off just 3 weeks later. If anything this song lacked longevity, but in terms of short-term runs on my chart, it was by far a champion in that aspect.

This song was a heavy hitter in all aspects. For one, it starts off its run with 5 straight weeks at #1. Past that, it continues to notch an additional 14 weeks in the Top 10, with 11 of them in the Top 5. Staying in the Top 20 was easy, as it had about 11 straight weeks at #1, with an interruption or two scattered due to big debut weeks, but the song managed to rebound. Going into 2021, the song never hit above 30, however, it did manage to last 3.5 months in, just missing the year-of-charting milestone by a month.

The first of 4 songs to chart over a year lands here. Now looking at its standing between 11-20, 8 weeks is not merely enough for a 4-weeker #1. But you know what is? A whole 29 weeks in the Top 10, way more than half of its run. Despite a bad 11-20 run, it did manage double-digits weeks in the upper half of the Bottom 20. Once, falling into the Bottom 10, I knew its time was up and it really could do is ride it out, and maybe snag one year of charting. 4 weeks after touching the Bottom 10, it finally charted for a year, another week to make it 53 would be its final week, sending itself out along with our #7.

Speaking of our #7, we now have reached the second song go for over a year at this point. This song was able to notch 4 weeks, in 2 separate terms, 2 separate months from each other. The stats for this song are way too much to handle to put it short. Essentially, the lowest this song went in 2019 was just 13. It actually went from going out of the Top 10 to go into the Top 5 on 3 separate occasions which is crazy. 3 weeks into 2020, this song finally decided to bow into the bottom half of the chart, bouncing around the Bottom 20 for 4 whole months before exiting with Tough Love.

This is the biggest shock on this chart, and honestly, it could be considering it debuted at a time where Take What You Want was an absolute menace through & through on this chart. 21 straight weeks in the Top 20 will do any song well, but it's amazing that this song got so high despite lasting only half a year. Everything is right and the points add up, but it's still crazy that this song was able to do better than 5 straight songs with at least one year in the Top 4. This song that despite being not on such stardom in its two years, combining the two can lead to great placement.

I still cannot process the fact that this song has been running, and still is, for 72 straight weeks. I still look back at this song, this was the same exact I listened to when I got that notification saying: "School closed for 2 weeks due to COVID-19 spreading in America". I don't know whether that stigma has stuck with me or what, but all that aside let's break down its run. So far, it has spent a third of its run, 24 weeks, in the Top 10. However, its longevity outside of that has been elite. So far it has spent 37 weeks between 11 and 30, more than half of its run to be exact (52%). That means just 14% of its run, 11 weeks, have been spent in the Bottom 10, and this took place back in January 2021 up to its one year of charting. At this rate, this song is on a big upward trend, and honestly, this song can keep going, it's next goal is 2 years, so will it be able to hang ???

First off, to spend 19 out of your 20 first weeks at #1 is hard as hell, and in fact, its slip to #2 happened after its 11th, and that was God Is A Dancer's week at #1. 10 more weeks in the Top 10 gives it a total of 30 weeks in the Top 10, 71% of its run which is insane. It spent 7 weeks in the Top 20 and only took 5 weeks to fall off after falling out of it. At the end of the day, if this song was given more longevity, it would've been insane and would've taken the #1 spot with ease.
So I know that I have been going in numerical order and I will do the same here. But these last three songs have gotten to a point where they seem unstoppable, these 3 are definitely songs that have made my all-time lists and once I release the first version of my Top 50 songs of alltime, you know damn well these 3 songs will make it. I call them the 3 superpowers for a reason...

The statistics show it themselves. We have a song already over a year in West Ten a song that has managed to chart in the Top 5 for 2 year-end lists in Unbreakable, and a song that has 17 weeks at #1, and has spent its whole run in the Top 10, and it is actually being 9, which of course would be Levitating. And the fact that all of these songs spent 6 weeks together in Top 3 at various positions. In fact, West Ten & Unbreakable go way back to the beginning of the latter's debut where the two went blow for blow in the Top 2 for about 7 weeks. Levitating just managed to be made as a remix later on and it actually debuted on Unbreakable last of its longest run at #1, 4 weeks. These songs have even further potential to carry on for a while, and if Levitating carries on for a long time and keeps consistently hitting #1, I would actually consider being a frontrunner for my alltime song, along with songs like Waiting For Love and Wake Me Up!, both by the late Avicii. These 3 songs have 137 weeks in the Top 10, and 15 weeks in the Top 20, the latter stat being only among West Ten and Unbreakable. Oh yeah, you can't forget the 33 weeks-and-counting for a #1 spot on this chart. You'll just find out how these songs play on from here on out, and until the next version comes out, this is all my #1s ranked statistically as of July 24, 2021.
