My Top 100 of 2019

Hello guys and welcome back to another year-end post! Now, this is My Top 100 of 2019 and that sounds like a lot but bear with me. This year wasn't too bad, the hit music was very decent or good, nothing special. The little things I found were good. Yes, some hits will be on here. Also, this is opinion based so many of you will disagree, especially with my Top 30. Anyways, I'll let the format here:

Now we've reached Part 2! Here, I will explain My Top 50 and how they're really great. I don't want to take too much time.

This one I feel was underperformed in a lot of aspects, but it really stuck here.

50. Clean Bandit/MARINA/Luis Fonsi- Baby

This song is just great here. The production is great, MARINA has such an angelic voice and everything there is nice. Luis Fonsi impresses with his part and when they're together in the last chorus it's amazing ya know. So yeah amazing song.

This year, I don't have that many hits here as I've gone all over the place with music. This song had its time on Hits 1, but it really stuck with me.

This song was underrated. Jax Jones has an excellent product that's very groovy and enjoyable. The vocals from Bebe make the song work out so well and the lyrics tell something. Yes, for an EDM song it can be very underwhelming as a whole, but I don't see it here instead of just a nice, groovy song.

This next song is just a really sweet song. Yeah, I don't really have loved both of these two artists both this just really works. Also, imagine me liking a country song.

This song can just really flatter anyone. What can I say, it's a nice, well-thought song by these two. The way it's presented is very nice and I just can't get over this. This is just a cute song with not much to it for a country song, but hey, I like this.

So, Hits 1 introduced me to numerous acts. This happened to very amazing and I really don't know if people remember this song, but let me say something If I can.

47. Stephen Puth- Sexual Vibe

Okay well, this song gives off a vibe you can't resist. His voice especially to be honest. It's sound, pretty sexual probably hence the name. Also, the tropical production is really nice and I quite enjoy it. I don't know what really to say about this, but hey a pretty much-underrated song and act for sure.

I've been a fan of these two leading roles in this next song, but something just stuck to me that I can't explain.

Yeah, so this weird being on here. This song from the start really says something. I like the vocals from Makonnen and to be honest it's lit here. The transition from the chorus to Fall Out Boy and then to Peep is amazing and I can't get over that. Overall, a nice song.

This next song I've never liked at first. It took a while for me to stick to it. Surprisingly, it grew a lot and now I just can't resist this song.

This song is just amazing. The drop from Garrix is really great to start. Then you got Macklemore's flow that is really nice and he sounds good with the production. Then there's Patrick who amazes me here with his vocals. Garrix is the main benefit of my favor towards this song, but everyone else is amazing.

This next song was big when it came out and the flopped like it was nothing. It did the same here but did a substantial amount of damage to make it.

Yeah, I don't why this song died so quickly. Here, the production is nice, but the pre-chorus is the best part. I guess it's how they have a flow that matches perfectly to the winding production makes it work. Other than that, the voices are great from both which is really nice. I guess it's the beginning that can be a major turn off you know. Overall, great song.

Wow, I'm definitely gonna get hate for this.

43. Ally Brooke/A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie- Lips Don't Lie

Let me speak. The production is great, Ally is great, A Boogie is phenomenal. The song is great as a whole and you will have to fight on it.

Honestly, Lil Nas X is pretty damn good with his hits.

I really don't what to say here. I mean, it's just a fun song. The production is catchy as hell and Lil Nas does great. Then there's DaBaby and you know it's great. His flow is just amazing I can't compare with it, dude.

So Ava Max had a huge hit, Sweet But Psycho this year with just so happened to wound up on my personal. She had made some really good music after this and this is just incredible.

41. Ava Max- Torn

Yes, this song is amazing. Sure the verses don't match with the amazing chorus, but they're great nevertheless. It's just Ava's voice her is way than Sweet But Psycho. It has more personality and it's not as generic as it either. Yes, Sweet But Psycho but this is a huge step up. Kind of sucks that this isn't going for a hit.

This next became a hit for me really quick. Tiësto really has had any hits on my chart since I think Red Lights which is one of my favorites of all time. You see, this just hit a bit different.

40. Tiësto/Mabel- God Is A Dancer

Yes, just yes. Now, this is not my type of EDM at all, but it just works. The lyrics are just a big plea and cry for help to this protest almost. How this world wasn't the one we wish for, but we can turn it around. The mood this song sets is just very strong and one I simply can't resist.

Longevity rules on Year-End lists despite the peak it has.

Yeah, I don't know how this song just got so far. The drop is so soothing yet active as hell it's so weird. The way Bonn sets a mood in a way of saying your good you don't need anything else is just outstanding. Martin and Bonn have never let me down evert and this just proves it further.

So um this is quite random and I'm pretty surprised it got this far this quick.

37. Camila Cabello- Liar

So yeah this song. Well first off I like the Latin vibes it gives off with that production. Speaking of which, the production just stays catchy the whole song. Her voice is very nice and I can enjoy it. I don't feel like she tries too hard. You know, maybe she's a better singer not trying to try to meet someone's level you know. Overall, this is a great song and really enjoyable.

When my Spotify Wrapped came out, Latin was my third most listened and I went what the hell. Then I remembered this song.

36. Daddy/Snow/Katy Perry- Con Calma

Yes, this is amazing. The production is on point and little did I know it was sampled. Putting a more Latin flair to this version made the production way better. Daddy Yankee does amazing and Snow sampled part still sounds good. Katy's only hear so that it would work for American radio, to be honest.

Didn't expect this to make two year-ends AND make the same spot.

35. Alex Aiono- Big Mistake

Glas this song stuck around. It's amazing how this song hasn't been noticed. The great guitar, his voice, I mean everything is amazing. The fact it is where it is is just amazing. This song never let me down at all and it never will.

Yes, this song is great. Fall Out Boy with the amazing vocals and production here. Wyclef does pretty well surprising because I know many can't stand his voice at all. The song covers up a dark time with a happy product saying just be ready for shit, but let's make it fun in the worthwhile, an amazing message.

Another underperformed gem for sure.

This next one is very simple, why all the hate here?

Okay, let me speak before I get attacked because I know what's coming next. I really like the production and hear me out it can be a bit annoying. However, his vocals just really help the song. His chorus is great and gives me oldie-type vibes. Listen, this is a very fun song and I'm all about fun here so yeah, leave me alone.

This next song is older and I just happened to come across again. So it had a fabulous run and now it's here.

29. Axwell /\ Ingrosso- More Than You Know

So yeah, from the start you know this is going to be great. The hit it gives is a big wake-up. Yes, the verses aren't the best, but that drop makes it up completely. I'm mainly blaming the weak verses from the voice. Who does it, I don't know, but they come through in the pre-chorus and chorus. During this time, I had some feelings and this song was a perfect fit.

And you guys thought Whitney Houston wasn't having any samples like that, but who knew with Kygo of all people.

28. Kygo/Whitney Houston- Higher Love

So yeah Kygo had has some really great collaborations in the past. It Ain't Me was amazing and Happy Now was great, so I was looking forward to this one. And boy he didn't let down at all. Sure, this doesn't too far off than the Whitney cover but nevertheless, it added some more style. Whitney's voice is great as always and the drop Kygo does is just more satisfying than energetic. Overall, great song and really impressed.

So between these two, there was about a 2000 point gap so you know this is the real stuff here. Shoutout to Scott for getting me into this song. But yeah it gets real from here.

27. Don Diablo/KiFi- The Same Way

So when I was first introduced, I just couldn't get into the vocals. Like man, they were grating a bit but everything else was great. For a week or two, I didn't even listen to the song. Then I was like oh shoot I forgot this song. I listened to it again and it just took off. The voice was really great and fitting for the production. Beyond that, Don's production is freaking awesome with that drop and how that energy continues throughout the chorus. The way the vocals parallel with the chorus and drop is just amazing.

I don't care if Guetta is irrelevant this song just slaps.

26. David Guetta/Bebe Rexha/J Balvin- Say My Name

So where do I start? Yeah, that tropical beat is lit. Like man, that production gives off a whole vibe. Bebe controls the range of her voice and I really like that. She isn't screeching or belting notes she staying in one area and sticking to it. The drop is pretty chill and laidback. Then J Balvin comes and his flow is priceless. The way he works with it and especially since that production really is his style it just furthers how good it is. Overall, great song and worth checking out.

I'm totally don't stan this song after 4 years.

So um this next song is really nice and cute. I've heard of this producer before and listening to snippets from the song I found out that I really liked it a lot so that's cool.

24. Gryffin/SLANDER/Calle Lehmann- All You Need To Know

I mean what can I say? The voice from Calle all really soothing and nice since I've never heard of him. The production is very progressive throughout the song which is what I really like. The drop is insane and slaps almost every time and it's just great. Especially that last chorus with the voice is simple perfection.

This song was pretty surprising to reach #1 but longevity helped it a lot. I mean the song is lowkey really good and deserved more success. The fact I keep forgetting it hit #1 is likely because it was at the half-way point of its run. I expect most songs to hit in a matter of 1-5 weeks but this took 8 or 9.

So this song is a bit interesting when it comes to lyrics. Besides that, everything is great. Rita Ora sounds nice here especially since her songs are slower and she uses more of her vocals. Her simplicity in a range aspect is great. The drop can seem underwhelming, but I got into after a while. It had a nice set up to from the chorus and overall made the song really solid.

So what do I say? I kinda really just got into the song. I feel like this is just overhated. The production here is really impressive. Jordan's vocals surprise and T-Pain just does freaking amazing. He doesn't use a lot of autotune which I enjoy. Beyond that, the song is just amazing overall.

So our next song is pretty new here and the fact it got this high is the time it did is nice. Very well produced song by 4 producers, yes 4.

So um re-doing one of the most iconic EDM songs was honestly a good idea. They really just the song more modernized and progressive. However, the vocals are really nice and elegant and it is much appreciated here. The hook and drop are very retro and that's what gives the song it's flare.

This song is a trailblazer for freaking 2014-16 Roblox videos.

I reviewed this too much. A great progressive house EDM song. It always is lit and the drop is still fantastic. This song has never been a letdown and it shall stay that way.

So this song I picked off of a snippet from Billboard Charts. This song hit me in a way that was just amazing. I really didn't think it would make it this far if we're being honest here.

So this is quite surprising. Surprisingly, Dan's voice does amazing here throughout the song. I mean, it just sounds like heaven here. The production is great. The lyrics are a cover-up of the true meaning for sure. The really dark reality covered up by nice fun lyrics and production. I mean the music video is quite disturbing. However, the hook and little drop just win me over on this song. The bridge and last chorus just sum it up for me.

So because of my last year's year-end being all sorts of wack, I started this year with this song being #1 as in a charting season. Overall this was a nice tiny little comeback for the main artists, but the other two do a spectacular job.

So let's start off with Ellie. My god, when I first heard a snippet I knew I was going to fall in love with this song. Her voice is just amazing. Her voice in the chorus is all we need with the "Close To Me" just being spectacular and satisfying. Diplo's production is just great and nice keeping an upbeat, consistent production throughout the song that works with Ellie and our other artist, Swae Lee. Swae Lee has impressed a lot this year and this is the prime of it. His flows and melodies to this production are amazing. The bars he lays down tells a whole story that we can't enough of. This is everything.

So yeah, I just wanted to let you know. Alan Walker dominated a lot in the first half of 2019 so expect a lot more coming.

So this is just a gem. The piano thingy at the start of the song already sets a freaking bar. Then there's Shawn's voice that just penetrates the whole thing which is amazing. The verses are a great build-up to a phenomenal chorus that never gets old. The song is quite basic but basic is best sometimes. He really did impress here since In My Blood was decent and Lost In Japan was a total flop. Props to you, Shawn.

So this next was really impressive especially since these two artists haven't had my favor a lot. I mean wow this song was just great.

So um what do I say for this? The start of this really doesn't set a bar for me until Posts starts. I mean his flow here is great and once the next verse hits, it is just pure perfection. The flow there is spectacular and the sad trap beat almost just fits perfectly. The way he sings his pre-chorus is just absolutely stunning and his chorus keeps that energy going. Then surprisingly Young Thug does really nice with voice and falsetto even though his lyrics are quite questionable. His voice honestly really fits here and then Post's last chorus and outro just fill up the rest of this excitement.

Some I really think this hasn't aged well on many and my question is, how?

So yeah massive hate in coming here I suppose, but you just wait. So the song here has very great vocals from 5SOS I'll tell you. And the production is just nice overall. I mean this song is a very simple made, tell me who it is type of song. However, that drop just wins me the hell over. The way it's put and the trap element added just slaps every single time. This song really hasn't gotten that old, but the drop still hits me every time.

I'm totally not a stan.

This next song wasn't really noticed since it crashed a lot after becoming #1 back in 2018. However, longevity rules and it was lowkey EDM hit so that's nice.

This has never let me down. I don't know it seems like this song would be less progressive than his normal style. However, the voice from Au/Ra is really nice and soothing. Though his drop isn't one of his best I feel like it sets the mood of the song and matches the voice here which what I like. It's not very diverse when it comes to a mood and that's very enjoyable.

Some um this year the Jonas Brothers came back, and they weren't that disappointing. Their comeback song was lit and I really enjoyed sooooo

So um yeah, this is amazing. I really like the start of this song and the rest. I mean, my god this was an awesome come back for them. The vocals by Joe and Nick are just simply perfect. However, what hits is that production. The chorus hits and when the production goes dun dun, dun dun, dun dun just really hits me somehow I don't know. The hook is amazing and what can I say a nice and awesome come back for them.

So this next song made some major space in 4 months. This song pulled off a very impressive album and I fell in love with it. The fact it got up 90 spots to this is amazing.

Haha. Well, where do I start? I've never seen a combination like this ever. If I'm being honest I would've never have listened to the album if it wasn't for Goodbyes. The start already sets a massive bar. Ozzy Osbourne out of all people comes in and just makes a mood with the lyrics. Then there's Post with his soothing vocals and my god his chorus is beyond phenomenal. His flow is amazing by far as he works with the trap-rock production. Then comes Travis as he lays down bar after bar and then it's back to Ozzy. But we're not done yet. The mother freaking guitar riff. Holy shit that is the most insane I've heard off a Post Malone song. I mean this song is an experiment that stuck it's landing. Now, it's to become a hit NOW.

So this next song you should know fairly well. Among the common people, we can all agree this is this man's safest but yet best song he's made.

So this song still stayed great. The reason this song is higher is simply that it hit #1 in December when it first hit in March. So that's insane. Anyways, this song has never gotten old in the slightest. Everything still is the same. Noah and Juliander with their nice vocals. DFA and Walker with he amazing production and drop. This song is truly a gem for me and for myself, one of the all-time greatest songs.

So for this next song, I'm only gonna get hate because it's higher than Sucker.

So let me explain this, hehe. I've heard this is one of the worst of 2019 according to bland music critics on Youtube. I don't understand what's so bad. This song is too fun and groovy to hate. The flow and rhythm this song has just made my head bop to it every time. The horns at every other note are just so catchy and easy to latch onto. The vocals from both of the boys are great and the drop in the production is great, so great job, Kevin. I really appreciate how tropical and groovy this tune is.

So this next song just slapped so hard somehow that it really grew, despite being a way older song from 2017 I believe as well.

So this is basically a whole mood. I mean the song is just so happy and progressive here it just amazes me. See, Alan Walker and K-391 have done very well and this was the start of these two. They put on an amazing show for Julie Bergan who does insane with he vocals. Her bridge and last chorus pull the whole song together. SeungRi does well here and that's cool. All of these elements and an insane drop pull this song to what it is.

So this song is just amazing, let me tell you. This song is way more mellow compared to Ignite for sure. However, the voice though sounding a bit off and high-pitched worked for me. The flow of her voice in the pre-chorus is just very satisfying. The drop here is solely electronic and out of a freaking video game. Overall, a nice little soothing song with a great backstory held up with nice production and vocals.

Here we go, the Top 5! Anyways, I'm just gonna get to it. This song is great, say otherwise, I don't give two.

Alright, you have one moment to talk your crap and oop your moment's gone. I don't care Sabrina sounds freaking amazing here. The guitar at the beginning just sets you up for so much it just pulls you in. The drop is very soothing and Latin-ish sort of I don't know. Farruko has a nice flow and I don't know what he's saying. Other than that, it's back to Sabrina the chorus and pre-chorus from here is just perfection, fight me.

So this next song looked like it had it from the start. This was a monster song I fell in love with. Flopping on Hits 1 really pissed me off, but who cares about Hits 1 sometimes. This song is really something special.

So yeah this was surprisingly good. This song is the grooviest song on here. Olly surprised as he controls his voice here a little bit. Normally he's belting out like he did on Troublemaker, but he seems calmer and collected here unless that's what the song means. Anyways, the chorus is great and his flow is just nice throughout the song. Snoop randomly shows up which I'm cool with because I haven't heard him in some decent time. He has a nice flow and his punch lines are great.

So this next song also competes for Alan's worse and like I said, what the hell?

Then the chorus hits and her voice goes up by like 10 notches. The drop every time just slaps left and right it's amazing how it works every time. Then, there's the chorus during the drop and everything is just brought together right then and there.

So um remember when I said Avicii wasn't having any more music because he's dead. Well, I didn't know he had unfinished recordings...

So yeah this was a HUGE standout single for the album. I'm really happy he chose this one for sure. After all, he perfectly first did this until it was finished by others. However, did that, good freaking job. The Indian flare is amazing to this song and what we needed. The vocals from Agnes and Vargas & Lagola are spot-on and are a perfect duet for this song. The drop is insane with high energy. A well-produced song for this farewell album. Lowkey pissed that this wasn't the upfront single instead of being the follow-up. Deserved more recognition, you know?

So this year was very electronic for me. Many great hits from the mainstream that pleased me. However, I knew that Tough Love wasn't going to be #1 because of this song no matter what the hell happened, prevailed. Through the Avicii raid, through all of the 7 entrant weeks, it managed to hold on. The fact that it's still in the Top 15 in present-day is freaking insane. Congratulations, David Guetta!

Where do I start? This song is indeed a masterpiece. I don't give two shits if David Guetta is irrelevant okay. This is one of the best progressive songs I've ever heard. Loote has an amazing voice throughout the whole song. What I really like about this song? How you know the drop is coming, you hear the build-up, you hear the voice stuttering, then the drop. That drop has slapped for the 40 weeks I've listened to this song and it'll keep going. Not dropping below #13 for 40 weeks is pretty insane. Anyways, after the drop, you get the guitars and another verse from Loote. I mean, the lyrics tell a whole freaking story within itself. How she'll be better off without this drug or whatever it is to her. Finally, you get the build-up, the insane drop, and then the songs just fade and it's over. The fact it does this at the end makes me want to replay it again because the drop is just fantastic. I know Brooks had to have specialized in the drop too. Congratulations you three for making 2019 an amazing year for electronic music.

Anyways, this was it bois. I'm hoping to have 2020 out quicker so yeah. All the artists did great this year and really impressed me. So yeah once again congratulations to David Guetta, Brooks, and Loote for making an amazing song.
